Game of Thrones for HBO
The internationally extremely popular TV series Game of Thrones, based on the books by George RR Martin, also has a huge Dutch fanbase. So when the fourth season of the series needed to be promoted, PSfm took the throne from the tv-series to several Dutch train stations. And so we created total Game of Thrones madness along the fans!
This promotion was done especially for HBO. Fans stood in long lines to go on a picture with the throne. And not just a simple picture. Because the throne stood in front of a green screen! This way you could see yourself in a complete Game of Thrones setting. You have a real life movie poster with yourself in the lead! After taking the photo, you could e-mail it to yourself on the spot. Which is a huge contribution for HBO; E – mail addresses were collected for a solid CRM base of Game of Thrones fans.
The promotion has created huge PR for HBO. De Telegraaf , RTL Boulevard , BN Voice , Brabant , Broadcasting RTV Noord, Parool and more Dutch media reported on the throne tour through the Netherlands. We guess that the Dutchies will be in front of the television when the 4th season starts!
